Wuthering Heights, the plot of the movie
Wuthering Heights is the new drama movie coming soon. Earnshaw, Catherine’s (Margot Robbie) father, is a wealthy man who owns the Wuthering Heights mansion. Catherine has a brother named Hindley: when Earnshaw brings home a filthy child, Heathcliff - perhaps a gypsy - Catherine immediately gets along with him, while her brother Hindley does not. Catherine’s father dies, and Hindley inherits the fortune and becomes brutal and mean to his sister.
He torments Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi) who declares revenge on him. After leaving home, Heathcliff becomes rich and inherits another house, Thrushcross Grange: Catherine is caught in a storm and takes shelter in the neighboring house, where she finds Edgar Linton, one of her neighbors.
Edgar falls in love with her and marries her, and Heathcliff becomes even colder towards her. Heathcliff marries Edgar’s sister, and becomes a father; Catherine also becomes a mother, but it will be their children who weave a love that was forbidden to their parents.
In the released trailer, Catherine and Heathcliff meet as children, and then as adults find themselves trapped in a tormented love story in the moors of West Yorkshire. “What would you do, Heathcliff, if you were rich?” asks Cathy; “I think I would do what all rich people do. I would live in a big house, be cruel to my servants, take a wife,” he responds.
“Heathcliff is gone,” says the friend to Catherine. She is promised to another man. “Why did you leave me?” she asks Heathcliff, who reappears after a long time: “Because you betrayed your heart.” “I will not tolerate that demon,” Edgar pronounces. “Then kiss me. It’s that we are both damned,” Heathcliff concludes to her.
