The Bear 5: News on Season 5
Final Season of The Bear, cast, plot, release
Final Season Confirmed: All Episodes Available from June 25
The fifth and final season of The Bear, the Emmy Award-winning FX series, will debut Thursday, June 25 at 9:00 PM ET on FX and Hulu, with distribution on Disney+.
The final season picks up the morning after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie and Natalie "Sugar" (Abby Elliott) discover that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has quit the restaurant industry, leaving the restaurant in their hands. With no money, the threat of a sale and a torrential storm bearing down on them, the new partners must join forces with the rest of the team to achieve one last service, hoping to finally earn a Michelin star.
The half-hour series also stars Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas and Matty Matheson, with Ricky Staffieri, Oliver Platt, Will Poulter and Jamie Lee Curtis in recurring roles.
The Bear Reviews: The Success of a Cult Series
Created by Christopher Storer, The Bear debuted in 2022 becoming a word-of-mouth phenomenon. The first season won 10 Emmys, including for best comedy series, establishing Jeremy Allen White as a leading man. The second season earned 11 Emmy wins, while the third came up empty despite 13 nominations. The fourth season is currently in the running for this year's awards, while the final season will compete in 2027.
The ensemble cast also includes Edwin Lee Gibson, while guest stars include Olivia Colman, Sarah Paulson, Bob Odenkirk and John Mulaney. Christopher Storer is executive producer alongside Josh Senior, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matty Matheson, Hiro Murai and Rene Gube. Courtney Storer serves as culinary producer.
The Cast of The Bear: The Actors' Recent Projects
Jeremy Allen White, after winning two Emmys for his role in The Bear, played Bruce Springsteen in the biographical movie Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere from 20th Century, which chronicled the making of the album Nebraska and debuted in theaters on October 24, 2025. The actor was also involved in the sequel to The Social Network written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, though the project is still in development. White will also make his entrance into the Star Wars universe with The Mandalorian and Grogu, scheduled for 2026.
Ayo Edebiri, Emmy winner for best supporting actress in 2023 for The Bear, recently starred in After the Hunt by Luca Guadagnino, a thriller set on a college campus with Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield and Chloë Sevigny, presented out of competition at the Venice Film Festival 2025 and distributed on Amazon Prime Video. The actress also voiced a character in Inside Out 2 and shot Clarissa, a modern reimagining of Virginia Woolf's novel Mrs Dalloway set in Lagos, Nigeria, presented at the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs at the Cannes Film Festival 2026. Among her recent projects are also Opus with John Malkovich and Ella McCay with Emma Mackey, both from 2025.
The final season of The Bear thus prepares to close a chapter of contemporary seriality that has managed to transform cooking into a metaphor for existence, the search for perfection into a human journey, and food into the language of emotions.
