X-Men Apocalypse: 'Working on a big movie is super exciting and intimidating', interview with stunt Naomi Frenette
Naomi Frenette will be in the movie Chaos Walking
There is considerable cinematic ferment in Canada. What is the cinema situation like?
Canada is really busy now for shooting. It is really really exciting. There are big movies and big tv shows from the United States coming to shoot to Canada. I think that the number one reason is because of the dollar situation here. Also because we, Canadians are awesome! It is going to be a good year for a lot of performers here and i think everybody is ready and looking forward to work on one of those projects.
What i am also really proud of our visibility and our strong performances at the oscars (jean-marc vallée director of Dallas Buyers Club, Pierre Even producer of Brooklyn and many more) and at Cannes Festival (Xavier Dolan, directoe of Mommy). People are starting to see that there is more talent here then expected. Also Canada is a great place to shoot outdoor scenes with the different climates that we have.
