Actor Giuseppe Bonifati
Giuseppe
Bonifati in 2025 is featured in the docu-series Martin Scorsese Presents: The
Saints, dedicated to the lives of iconic religious figures. Bonifati plays
Brother Elias of Cortona in the episode about St. Francis of Assisi, which will
air on FOX Nation TV on April 4, 2025. Working on The Saints was a meaningful
experience," says Bonifati, "working with a top artistic team and
playing Friar Elias, one of St. Francis' most faithful companions, was both
challenging and fascinating. Shooting in Morocco offered intense and
captivating moments. I am happy to be part of this project and simply thrilled
to see my name next to that of Martin Scorsese, an absolute master of
cinema".
On working with directors Ridley Scott (All the Money in the World) and Michael Mann (Ferrari, as Giacomo Cuoghi, Enzo Ferrari's manager), he says: "Every project is an opportunity to learn and grow, and I am curious to see what new challenges the future holds for me. For example, I have heard that Mel Gibson is going to shoot his next movie in Italy... maybe!
In 2025, he will stage Paradise, the final chapter of his Dante trilogy, with a site-specific production at the Copenhagen Planetarium. In parallel, he will develop Artbulance 2.0, a traveling festival aboard an ambulance transformed into a mini-theater. And while his Flying Theater at Billund Airport continues to welcome thousands of spectators every week, 2025 will also mark the 15th anniversary of the DOO Performing Arts Group, with which Bonifati has created 35 shows in 30 countries around the world, together with his partner in work and life - Linda Sugataghy. Future projects include L'Ultimo Colpo, a work that Bonifati has cherished for years and is finally ready to see the light of day: "The text, inspired by the myth of the Accabadora and the theme of euthanasia, has long been snubbed by Italian theaters. Now, however, it seems that a major Roman company is interested in co-producing it. We hope to 'celebrate' it in the fall.
In 2024, he directed Purgatorio - The Seven Deadly Sins, which followed Ed Elli A Me.
