'The best thing for health is to eliminate': the interview
Mary Claire Haver is the gynecologist who created the Galveston Diet.

The modern kitchen is careful about the use of fat and sugar, much more than a few years ago. Do you agree?
Yes,
I agree, everyone has become increasingly more aware of general
health and wellness, which is positive. The best thing you can do for
your health is to eliminate sugar as much as possible. When breaking
the addiction to sugar, I recommend even cutting out sugar
alternatives as these stimulate the brain in the same manner as real
sugar. You may find it fascinating to know that we, in the
medical community are now discovering that cholesterol levels are
less linked to cholesterol intake, and more linked to sugar intake!
