Following their victory in defending the Northern Water Tribe, Aang, Katara, and Sokka embark on a mission to convince the Earth King to join their fight against Fire Lord Ozai. Their journey leads them to Ba Sing Se, a heavily fortified city. Here, Aang meets Toph, a skilled earthbender who becomes his teacher, helping him add earthbending to his existing powers.
Meanwhile, Prince Zuko continues his pursuit of the Avatar, complicated by his status as a fugitive and his internal conflict. His sister, Princess Azula, also enters the conflict, adding new threats to the group. The city of Ba Sing Se holds secrets that challenge the heroes beyond the battlefield.
