Solo Mio, the movie plot

Solo Mio is the upcoming comedy-drama movie. The plot centers on Matt (Kevin James), a man whose dreams of a picturesque Italian wedding shatter when his fiancée, Meghan (Alyson Hannigan) leaves him at the altar.

Matt embarks alone on the honeymoon he had planned across Italy, immersing himself in the culture, food, and beauty of the country. During his journey, he encounters Gia (Nicole Grimaudo).

Kevin James is also starring in Playdate with Alan Ritchson, and has appeared in Hubie Halloween with Adam Sandler. Alyson Hannigan has acted in Flora & Ulisse and the TV series Fancy Nancy.

Nicole Grimaudo has worked on Noi del Rione sanità and Diamanti. The direction is by Charles Kinnane, who previously directed Water Brother and Syndrome K. The movie is also co-directed by Daniel Kinnane.

Solo Mio, filming and release date

The production comes from A Higher Standard, Kinnane Brothers, and Nickel City Pictures, with distribution by Angel Studios. Filming took place in Rome in October 2024, and the movie is set for release in the United States on February 6, 2026.

The screenplay was written by Kevin James himself, along with John Kinnane and Patrick Kinnane, adding a personal touch to this romantic journey through Italy’s picturesque landscapes.
