FanVestor, the new platform where fans invest in talent: the interview
Larry Namer is the COO of FanVestor
You have collaborated with several start-ups. Which is the one you are most fond of, and what must a start-up have in order to last?
For me, that has to be creating E! Entertainment TV with my good friend Alan Mruvka. When we came up with the idea, everyone told us its impossible. Individuals don’t start TV networks. We frequently heard “You are not Time Warner, or Viacom. What you are proposing is a good idea, but something that cannot be achieved unless you are part of a big media company.” We didn’t listen, and managed to raise a very small amount of money and learned how to be very focused, innovative and imaginative with what we had. When we finally pulled the switch to go live, it was a realization that we pulled off a pretty amazing feat.
