Flight Risk is the new thriller movie being produced. An Air Force marshal (Mark Wahlberg), in a small plane transports a fugitive through the Alaskan wilderness. But the man finds himself trapped because he suspects that their pilot is not who he claims to be.

Mark Wahlberg recently worked in Me Time - A weekend to myself and Uncharted, in the role of Victor Sullivan: in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, he admitted that he quit school early, and was himself on the streets, running into trouble with the police, so much so that he spent forty-five days in jail. The names of the other cast members of Flight Risk are not yet known. It is being directed by Mel Gibson, who recently directed The Battle of Hacksaw Ridge, and who is also expected to direct The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection, a sequel to The Passion of the Christ. The screenplay is by Jared Rosenberg, who is making his feature debut.

Production is by Gibson's Davis Entertainment and Icon Productions, along with Hammerstone Studios: the movie was brought to the Cannes market to finalize the rights purchase. "We love the undeniably electric pair of Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg," said Joe Drake, president of Lionsgate, which distributes it, "It's such a dynamic, character-driven movie that Flight Risk will be one of the most suspenseful, must-see events of the year. Filming has not yet begun; and Flight Risk is scheduled for release in 2024.
