Winner is the upcoming comedy and biographical movie. Reality Winner (Emilia Jones), is a brilliant member of the U.S. Air Force and consultant to the NSA. After being accused of leaking government information to the media about Russian interference in the 2016 election, de years later she is arrested. Her sentence is the longest in American history: Reality remains in prison for five years and three months.

Emilia Jones worked on CODA, an Oscar-winning movie in 2022, and the Locke & Key series. Also in the cast are Connie Britton, who starred in The Luckiest Girl in the World and in Bombshell: in Winner she has the role of Reality's mother. The other performers are Kathryn Newton, who in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is Cassie Lang; Zach Galifianakis, who starred in Past My Bedtime and is known for working in The Hangover. It is directed by Susanna Fogel, who has directed episodes of the series A Small Light and The Flight Attendant. The script is by Kerry Howley, making her debut, and is inspired by the true story of Reality Winner, who was born in 1991: after her sentence, she was transferred from prison to a halfway house on June 2, 2021. According to her lawyer, she left prison early because of her "good behavior" and not because she received a pardon.
