Scream 7, the movie’s plot

Scream 7 is the upcoming horror movie. It’s the sequel to Scream VI, in which Ghostface’s brother continues to spread terror. The plot focuses on a new killer masked as Ghostface, who spreads terror in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has rebuilt her life.

The next designated victim is her daughter Tatum Evans (Isabel May), and Sidney—to protect her—must confront her past.

“I don’t believe it. We’re staying in this psychokiller B&B?” a girl asks her friend (Jimmy Tatro), entering a house where Ghostface’s crimes occurred, who is present as a mannequin. The girl then dies impaled by Ghostface.

“Nice new town you have. You and your daughter” Ghostface threatens Sidney on the phone; “You know a lot about me to be just another asshole hiding behind a voice modulator” she replies.

The killer then captures her daughter: “don’t hurt her” she begs. “I won’t hurt her, as long as you’re not here to watch.” When Tatum shoots him, she says: “He’s dead”; “you need to make sure. Shoot him in the head” Sidney replies.

Scream 7, the movie’s cast

Kevin Williamson, who created the first movie in 1996, will direct the movie. Mason Gooding will once again be Chad Meeks-Martin: in the sixth movie, it’s revealed that Chad moved to New York City along with Sam, Tara and Mindy, and enrolls at Blackmore University, having Ethan Landry as his roommate. He was stabbed and left to die, but it’s revealed he survived and Tara kisses him once more before he’s taken to the hospital.

Jasmin Savoy Brown will be Mindy Meeks-Martin; Roger L. Jackson is Ghostface. Joel McHale in the role of Mark Evans, Sidney’s husband. Courteney Cox is detective Gale Weathers: in the previous movie she was attacked and stabbed numerous times, and before Ghostface can deliver a final stab, Samantha and Tara arrive with the paramedics who manage to take care of her.

Also present are Anna Camp, Mark Consuelos, Ethan Embry, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner and Michelle Randolph.

The production is by Spyglass Media Group, Project X Entertainment and Outerbanks Entertainment. Shooting began in Georgia in January 2025, and concluded in March. The previous movie grossed $138.9 million, and the sequel releases in the United States on February 27, 2026.
