Outcome, the movie’s plot

Outcomeis the comedy and thriller movie coming out. The plot centers on Reef Hawk (Keanu Reeves), a sober actor for five years who has taken a break from acting to build his new house.

He is proud of his progress in life, but when he receives a call from his crisis lawyer, Ira Slitz (Jonah Hill) who reveals that someone is blackmailing him with a video of questionable content, his life is turned upside down. Reef then sets out on a journey to make amends with those he has offended in the past to discover who the blackmailer is.

“Reef Hawk, America’s favorite star for the last 40 years. Protagonist of three of the biggest franchises in cinema history. You’ve taken a five-year break for reflection. What will you say?” asks friend Xander (Matt Bomer) to Reef. “I won’t say I was hiding a heroin addiction from my audience.” “That seems like a shrewd omission,” agrees friend Kyle (Cameron Diaz).

Then Reef must apologize to all the people who hate him, so that the compromising video won’t be released. “What do these apologies represent Reef? Are they for you, are they for me?” asks his mother.

Keanu Reeves has recently worked onGood Fortune,Ballerina,Matrix ResurrectionsandJohn Wick 4. Jonah Hill appeared inYou PeopleandDon’t Look Up, and is known for his roles in21 Jump Streetand22 Jump Street.

Cameron Diaz worked on Back in Action, after a break that lasted since 2018 with the movieAnnie:previously she starred in Sex Tape,The Other Woman, after the successes of Bad Teacher and Knight and Day. She had already worked with Reeves inFeeling Minnesota, from 1996. Matt Bomer acted in the TV seriesFellow TravelersandDoom Patrol. The direction is by Hill himself, making his debut behind the camera.

Outcome, the movie’s production and filming

The production is by Apple Studios and Strong Baby Productions. Filming began in March 2024 in Los Angeles and concluded in May. The movie will stream on Apple TV+ on April 10, 2026.
