You wrote "I’m Obsessed with You (But You’ve Got to Leave Me Alone)". How was the idea born ?

I'm Obsessed With You began as a two-act play I wrote for my thesis at Dartmouth College. After a successful sold out run in New York, Jasiek Goracy, the director, convinced me to adapt the stage play into a screenplay, and with his help, I did, and we made the film together. It was a very collaborative process that took years, and lots of persistence, discipline and out-of-the-box creativity to complete. We considered ourselves very lucky to have the help of the incredible Avy Kaufman and her wonderful casting team, who helped us put together a extraordinarily talented cast of young up and coming actors, including Rachel Broshnahan ("House of Cards"), Thomas McDonell ("The 100"), Manish Dayal ("The 100 Foot Journey") and Jason Ralph, ("The Magicians"). Then John Sloss' digital company, FilmBuff, came along and distributed the movie on VOD platforms worldwide, including iTunes, Hulu, Vudu, Google Play and Amazon. It was a labor of love that required quite a bit of real life improvisation (it rained almost every day on set, we had significant time constraints and a small budget to work with) .... and I think the film reflects back that passionate commitment we put in, and accomplishes what it set out to do, in a quiet, quirky, off-beat kind of way.
