'Armie Hammer is a hard worker and likes to rehearse as much as I do': interview with actor Jason Stuart
Jason Stuart worked in The Birth of a Nation
You worked also in tv series, as “Love.” Do you prefer television or cinema? What is the motivation for each and how do you differentiate preparation?
I got to work with Judd Apatow and Paul Rust who created the show. I play 'Dr. Powell,' a psychiatrist who is not really very present and is, especially, into himself. I loved working on the show! The director, Joe Swanberg, had us do the scene first as written, then he let us improvise. I had a ball and laughed so much! My patient was Rich Sommer from "Mad Men.” He had this uncanny way of being so funny yet, at the same time, incredibly subtle. I learned a lot about that him! Before I stepped on set, Judd (Apatow) sent me an email on how to play the role, so I was home free! So sweet of him.
