The Drama, the plot of the movie

The Drama is the dramatic movie coming soon. The plot centers on the relationship between a man, Charlie Thompson (Robert Pattinson) and Emma Harwood (Zendaya) that takes an unexpected turn before their wedding day. In fact, one of the partners discovers disturbing truths about the other.

“Good Charlie, move a little closer to your bride,” says the wedding planner while taking photos, in the released trailer. “What do you like most about Emma?” she asks, and he replies. “She’s beautiful, funny, and has the best laugh.”

Then Emma shares her thoughts: “I like that he’s thoughtful, understanding, open-minded.” Then tense moments with arguments follow. “What was that?” Emma asks. Even on the wedding day, Charlie is worried. “This is a drama,” he says.

The Drama, the cast of the movie

Robert Pattinson has worked in Mickey 17, The Batman and Tenet and will be in Batman 2 and Here Comes the Flood. Zendaya has acted in Spider-Man: No Way Home as Mary Jane Watson, in Challengers and in the TV series Euphoria.

The cast also includes Alana Haim, previously seen in Licorice Pizza and One Battle After Another; Zoë Winters, performer in Material Love and episodes of Succession. The direction is by Kristoffer Borgli, who has directed various short films and Dream Scenario, with Nicolas Cage.

The Drama, the production of the movie

The production is by A24 and Square Peg. Filming began in October 2024 in the United Kingdom, then moved to Boston and Louisiana. It concluded in December 2024, and the movie releases in American theaters on April 3, 2026.
