Vampires of the Velvet Lounge, the Plot of the Movie
Vampires of the Velvet Lounge is the upcoming horror movie. In the southern United States, an absinthe bar in a hidden alley conceals a deadly secret: Countess Elizabeth Báthory and her coven of vampires sustain themselves by targeting lonely singles through dating apps, seducing and slaughtering them to preserve their youth.
“Now I only hunt the damned,” says the character portrayed by Dichen Lachman in the released trailer. When the vampires arrive, her task is to eliminate them.
Vampires of the Velvet Lounge, the Cast of the Movie
The cast includes Mena Suvari, who starred in The Dresden Sun and Kalahari. Dichen Lachman has acted in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and Jurassic World: Dominion, and Sarah Dumont is also present, previously seen in The Accursed and in episodes of The Royals and Miracle Workers. The direction is by Adam Sherman, who has already directed This Game’s Called Murder and She’s Just a Shadow.
Erzsébet Báthory really existed: born in 1560, she was the Blood Countess, known to history as the most prolific serial killer of all time.
Vampires of the Velvet Lounge, the Filming and Release Date of the Movie
The production is by Adam Sherman Film and Storyoscopic Films. Filming took place in December 2023, in Georgia. The movie releases in American theaters on March 20, 2026.
