Lucky is a miniseries arriving on July 15 with the first two episodes. The subsequent episodes will be released every Wednesday until August 19. The series sees Anya Taylor-Joy in the dual role of protagonist and executive producer.


From the New York Times bestseller to the series: the story of Lucky

Lucky is adapted from the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name written by Marissa Stapley, a Reese's Book Club selection. The plot follows Lucky (Taylor-Joy), a con artist who finds herself on the run after a multimillion-dollar heist gone wrong. Pursued by the FBI and a criminal boss, Lucky must fight for survival while seeking a way out.


Anya Taylor-Joy and Annette Bening: the cast of the Apple TV+ miniseries

The cast includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Golden Globe and SAG Award winner and Emmy nominee, in the lead role. Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins Jr. and William Fichtner complete the cast of the production.


Jonathan Tropper and Hello Sunshine: the production behind Lucky

The series is created, written and produced by Jonathan Tropper through his Tropper Ink, as part of his deal with Apple TV+. Cassie Pappas serves as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Tropper. The production is signed by Apple Studios and Hello Sunshine, with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter as producers for Hello Sunshine. Taylor-Joy is executive producer through her production company LadyKiller. Jonathan van Tulleken, director of the pilot, is among the executive producers.


Hello Sunshine has also produced for Apple TV+ The Morning Show, series with Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston winner of Emmy, SAG and Critics Choice Award, L'ultima cosa che mi ha detto with Jennifer Garner, Truth Be Told with Octavia Spencer and the psychological thriller Surface with Gugu Mbatha-Raw.


Anya Taylor-Joy has recently worked in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and The Menu. Annette Bening appeared in Nyad and in the series Apples Never Fall. Timothy Olyphant played the lead role in Justified: City Primeval and participated in The Santa Clarita Diet. Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor acted in Origin and Nickel Boys. Drew Starkey is known for his role in Outer Banks and participated in Queer by Luca Guadagnino.
