Transformers 8: updates on the movie sequel
Transformers 8 action movie in development

Transformers 8, the possible plot of the movie
Transformers 8 is the action and sci-fi movie in development. It is a sequel to Transformers: Rise of the Beasts now in theaters, and shows the Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons fighting to defend the planet. Plot details have not yet emerged, but from the movie's post-credits scene, it is shown that Noah has rebuilt Mirage so that both should return in the sequel. Noah and Mirage could team up with the Autobots on another mission to save the world, along with Optimus Prime.
Megatron could also return in the sequel, as the main antagonist, picking up the baton from Scourge, to do Unicron's bidding and become as powerful as Galvatron.
Transformers 8, the cast of the movie
Paramount has already confirmed that the sequel is in the works. Director Steven Caple Jr. has expressed interest in returning, and production will have to wait until the end of the writers' strike. It is not certain whether Anthony Ramos will return as Noah, and Dominique Fishback as Elena, the researcher who gets caught up in the battle between Autobots and Decepticons. Meanwhile, the release of the Transformers One movie, the first animated feature film in the franchise in 40 years, is confirmed: it is a prequel exploring the relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron, and will be released on July 19, 2024.
