The president of the school's student council is Naomi (Allegra Clark): the anthropomorphs enter their senior year as Volcano High seniors, as graduation looms: they must, however, face imminent extinction due to an asteroid.
Vvorm Drama is Fang and Trish's band: Fang writes most of their songs, as well as being the lead singer, while Trish is the driving force. The characters can play the song they compose, and through it confide in others.
Goodbye Volcano High, the development and leaves of the video game
The video game is developed and published by KO_OP, of Montreal. After the pandemic from COVID-19, the new story line was inspired by the experiences of high school students graduating during that time. After the game was screened at PAX East 2023, it was positively received by critics, with the music described as "pleasant to listen to" (Hardcore Gamer), with "amazing" character design, and Fang himself turns out a "fantastic and sympathetic protagonist." It has also been compared to Life Is Strange (Rock Paper Shotgun). The game's use of LGBT characters and themes has provoked harassment campaigns from users. The game won the Tribeca Games Award at the 2023 Tribeca Festival. Goodbye Volcano High is released on August 29, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Windows.
