Keeper, the Film’s Plot
Keeperis the upcoming horror film. The story follows Ada (Tatiana Maslany) and Malcolm (Rossif Sutherland), a couple who decide to spend a romantic anniversary weekend in an isolated cabin. When Malcolm suddenly returns to the city, Liz finds herself isolated and in the presence of an unspeakable evil that reveals the cabin’s horrible secrets.
In the released trailer, several women are shown looking toward the camera, until in other scenes they—now with bloodied faces—scream, with Ada locked in a room. “This place isn’t for me,” she says.
Keeper, the Film’s Cast
Tatiana Maslany stars in the TV series She Hulk: Attorney at Law, and has worked on The Monkey. Rossif Sutherland—son of actor Donald Sutherland—has appeared in Plan B and The Handmaid’s Tale. The cast includes Claire Friesen, previously seen in episodes of Crimes and Mysteries in Gibsons; Tess Degenstein, performer in The Players and the series Murdoch Mysteries.
The film is directed by Osgood Perkins, who previously directed The Monkey and Longlegs. The screenplay is by Nick Lepard, who wrote Dangerous Animals.
Keeper, the Film’s Production and Release Date
The production is by Oddfellows Entertainment. At the 2024 Cannes Film Market, distribution rights were sold to Neon in the United States and Elevation Pictures in Canada. The film releases in U.S. theaters on November 14, 2025.
