‘Nicole Kidman is simply down to earth’: interview with the actor of the film 'Being the Ricardos', Jeff Holman

Picking a number one from the series I’ve been on is almost like picking a favorite child. But I did have something pretty special happen to me on Parks and Recreation. I was hired to do a one line co-starring role on an episode called, The Smallest Park. When we were filming the scene, the time came for me to say my one line, and Amy Poehler started doing improvisation with me. I’m experienced in it, so I just kept doing improv with her. We kept our improvisation going for about 6 minutes, at which time the director finally yelled cut, and the whole cast and crew started cracking up. The director, who by they way was academy award nominee Nicole Holofcener, came over to me and said, “‘We’re going to give you some more lines.” My one line co-star turned into a 9 line guest star role! That was pretty cool.
